COSTCO (Kirkland) "Ground Saigon Cinnamon"

I called COSTCO as there is no ingredient information on the label. It is 100% cinnamon, I was told. I suggested they say so on the label in the future! But, for a company like COSTCO, unlike Harris-Teeter, this is a no-brainer. When they say it is cinnamon, it is.

At least the ingredients include some actual cinnamon.

Nutrition Facts and Analysis for Cinnamon Chips, Hershey's

I wonder why this does not note that there is ZERO cinnamon in this product?

Hershey's Cinnamon Chips

I called Hershey. These chips contain ZERO cinnamon!!! And on this page, this is not even disclosed!

From me:

“Please explain to me why it is not deceptive to label a product as "Cinnamon Chips" that contains ZERO cinnamon?”

The hidden salt in chicken - Los Angeles Times

I sure think that places selling fresh and frozen chicken could do a lot better job in comparing and contrasting all nutritional information. It's a bad reflection on them that no one seems to do this.

Home | SUNSET® Produce - Goodness Grown Naturally™ - premium greenhouse vegetables for retailers & consumers

I bought beefsteak tomatoes at COSTCO from this supplier. They were simply marked as coming from Canada. Big country. Where? Also mentioned on the packaging was thegreengrassproject.com Not sure what that is.

Salt in chicken

I called Kroger today - 1-800-632-6900 - because I bought some fresh chicken breasts there this week that had nutrition labels on them. What I learned is that this is because they have "up to 15% chicken broth" added to them. The results it sodium at 180 mg/4 ounce serving.
Other packages of fresh chicken do not provide us with a base line with which to compare nutritional information. So, for the fresh chicken, how much salt is in it? The woman on the phone at Kroger told me that their nutritionist says there are "trace" amounts in the regular chicken. What is "trace"?
Perhaps others will join me in seeking labels for nutritional contents of fresh products as well as those that have been doctored in some way - from fresh as opposed to canned or frozen fruit and vegetables to all meats and fish, etc.

Steve Troxler - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's too bad that he is a tobacco farmer. I had not realized this. He had said during the campaign that he wanted to focus, if reelected, on exports of NC agriculture. While I would love to help, I am not going to help anyone export any tobacco.

Sial : Tendance naturalité, éthique et santé - Conso - Vie pratique - Télématin - Emission présentée par William Leymergie - France 2

This is very encouraging, noting the most recent trends toward natural/traditional and healthy food! Also, things like low-fat Corsican sausage! And an emphasis on labeling products to show their origin; consumers looking for nearby products.

Sel : après l’hypertension, le cancer de l’estomac - Bien être / forme - Santé - Télématin - Emission présentée par William Leymergie - France 2

Tonight's broadcast devoted a lot of time to "diners clandestines", a phenomenon in France that I had missed. Here is story on such dinners in Toulon. And more on the trend.
