When I shopped here the other day in Nice, I was attracted by coffee ice cream on a stick withe a chocolate coating. Looks great! The promotional piece that I had from Dia said it would be .99 euros instead of 1.69. Now that I look at my receipt, I was charged 1.99. That's not a big deal but it does point up the necessity to check receipts before leaving this or any other store.

I still think this number seems incredibly low. French television last week had a commercial of sorts from Europe talking about how Europe had helped an entrepreneur create a business out of retrieving food that would otherwise be thrown away - employing people and making a difference.
