Finding apples to apples comparisons was difficult and sales are constantly changing but we did find these head to head comparisons.

If you’re shopping for boneless, skinless chicken breast Sam’s Club offers a 12-pack for a $1.99 per pound. At Costco, as 12-pack of the Kirkland signature fridge-to-freezer chicken breast goes for $2.99 a pound.

I'd sure like to see a town-by-town and county-by-county list of all food growers and food producers in North Carolina. And I'd like to see percentages on how much of what is grown and produced is exported somewhere in NC, the US or elsewhere in the world. (It sure would be nice to see the same for all non-food items as well!)

Interesting, occasionally, to look at the prices at COSTCO v. Walmart. Consider frozen berries - organic, at COSTCO - 4 lbs for 11.69; non-organic at Walmart - 3lbs for 9.97. Easy choice.
