The small loaf that I bought at Col had olives in the center and was a small baguette for 2 euros. Very good! The other word in the boulangerie on the label was "gamin" I think, Not sure its significance. The woman who served me said "on ne peut pas manger autre chose apres ca!"; she was right.

Ate there today for lunch. Nice $12 buffet. Used a Groupon coupon and they charged a 20% gratuity - obligatory, they said. Wine very expensive by the glass. Comparable Trader Joe's would be 5 oz glass at about 65 cents even with tax!  (5 glasses in a $3 bottle) Why don't restaurants simply offer this affordable wine at near cost and charge more for the food they prepare as opposed to unpack?
