One of the complaints voiced recently about Chapel Hill is that we have too many chain restaurants and they are forcing others out of the market or out of business or both. Here in Nice, there are very few chain operations as best I can tell. Sure, there is a Subway or two and several McDonald's, but that's not the heart of where people eat when dining away from their residences. There are some obvious potential explanations but I would like to understand all of this in more detail.
